Another reminder.... We will be closing down our website at the end of June
or in July, when ever our website expires. With the technology
changing all the time we have found better, faster, easier, and more economical ways to communicate with our congregation so
we tried out Facebook. We seem to reach more local people that was, it's a lot
easier to maintain. We only have a few members who are on the internet
that aren't on Facebook and we are reaching more members, former members, and
non members by making this change. If you want to join us on Facebook just put
Saint Peter Lutheran Church of Orland in the search box at the top of the
Facebook page and click on "like" when you get there. Thanks for all
your support in the past years and hope to see you on Facebook.
Welcome to St. Peter Lutheran, "the friendliest little church in the country". If you enjoy the beauty of a rural setting (see the pictures page), gardening, agriculture,
or the down-to-earth values of a small, rural congregation, then you'll need to check out St.
We are now on Facebook too, making it easier for you to get to know us
and keep up to date on what's going on at St Peter just put "Saint
Peter Lutheran Church of Orland" in the search at the top of the
page and please click on "like" if you like our page.
We have Sunday school for children and a lively adult bible study. We
have three weekly worship services, a nontraditional service at 9:00am, a more
traditional service at 11:00am , and a third service at the Highrise on
Wednesdays at 1:30pm.
We present two yearly dramatic portrayals of the Bible's message at Christmas, and again in the Lenten/Easter Season. Some of the features of our congregation that we feel are unique include a strong tradition of lay preaching,
a summer bicycle trip for families, a quilting group that consistently places at the top of the Lutheran's Outdoors annual quilting competition, and numerous pot-luck, fellowship dinners during the year.
St. Peter is a lively fellowship for families who are excited about the adventure of God's Word and what it means for daily life. We invite you to join us during one of our worship services, Bible studies, and fellowship activities.
