I recently moved out of my office at Holy
Ghost after 20 years. That meant cleaning out two decades’ worth of files, papers and accumulated “stuff.” It was long overdue – and yes, it was a mess. My wife was not impressed!
Spring has a way of forcing us to clear out what we have ignored. Lent does something similar for the soul. It is a sea-son of reflection, repentance, and renewal.
“We are the clay, and You are our potter.” The Lord does not throw the clay away – He reshapes it. He presses, smooths and reforms us by His Word.
As we continue through Lent, we will gather for two more evening Lenten services on March 4 and March 18. These services provide quiet space for prayer and reflection as the Lord continues His work in us.
Please also mark your calendars for Holy
Week:
• Palm Sunday – March 29; 9 a.m.
• Maundy Thursday – April 2; 6:30 p.m.
• Easter Sunday – April 5; 11 a.m.
From repentance to resurrection, this season leads us to the cross and the empty tomb – where Christ cleanses and renews us completely.
I look forward to worshiping with you!
