Each year around spring break, my wife, Anne, and I set aside a week away together, and this year we were blessed to spend that time in Big Bend National Park, one of the natural treasures of our great state.
In four days, Anne and I hiked 30 miles!
On the trails of the Chisos Basin desert mountains, 1 did a lot of praying, reflecting, and giving thanks. Out on the trail, 1 was reminded how great God is and how
That is why I do not think there could have been a better way for me to prepare for Holy Week.
During Holy Week, we walk with Jesus to the cross and beyond. Throughout this Lent, we have been reminded that the Lord is the Potter and we are the clay. Holy Week and Easter bring us to the very heart of our faith – Christ crucified and risen for us -which is our hope and the love we share with all.
In response to God’s amazing grace, we also walk with Jesus into the future God has in store for us as a church.
On April 12, we will gather for a special congregational meeting to consider how best to pursue our calling in Christ and be good stewards of His gifts through proposed capital improvement projects.
We are blessed to be a blessing, so please keep our congregation, our lead-ers, and that meeting in your prayers, and invite your family and friends to join us as we gather again to hear the good news of Jesus’ death and resurrection.
Happy Trails!
